Dr Erica Bowen is an internationally recognised chartered psychologist, coach-mentor and government advisor. She gained her PhD in Psychology from the University of Birmingham in 2004. For 20 years she worked as an academic in the field of forensic psychology, and most recently as a full professor and senior leader at the University of Worcester. Erica’s research through her career has focused on understanding how to help those convicted of domestic violence change their behaviour within their relationships.
An Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, Erica joined the Society’s register of coaching psychologists in 2020 after qualifying as an EMCC certified coach-mentor, and in 2021 started her own coaching and consultancy business which she runs alongside her associate work for Positive.
Erica also continues to work as a consultant for the Scottish government and the government of England and Wales specifically focusing on evidence-based interventions and evaluation science. Erica is passionate about evidence-based practice, supporting individual and organisational change, and preventing workplace stress and burnout.
